What  are Corn LED?

Corn led is an arrangement of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on a metal structure. They are called corn lamps because the way the yellow LEDs are mounted on the fire is similar to the way corn grains are mounted on a corn cob. Corn cob lamps are designed to provide high light output using LEDs, which requires a large number of diodes. The diodes (which can sometimes comprise hundreds of diodes) are mounted on a metal bulb with the largest possible surface area to keep the diodes fresh.

Because the lamp is cylindrical, it resembles a corncob in appearance, which has earned it the name of a "corn lamp" or "corncob lamp". Regardless of the name, these lamps are known in the lighting industry for their high light output and low energy consumption, a combination that can work wonders for both light quality and cost savings in your home or business.

What type of luminaire accepts Corn LED?

Many dealers’ sockets will accept a corn lamp, but you need to make sure you have the right one. There are corn lamps for Mogul and medium ba s, and others are currently being developed to allow for a greater variety of base applications.

If you are concerned whether your luminaire can be installed with a corn lamp, please contact the designer who should list the specific applications of their corn lamp products.

How do I install Con LED?

Just make sure that the dimensions of the corn lamp fit into the light fixture you are installing it in. Because corn lamps are so easy to install, once you have the right product for your choices, you don't have to worry about installation instructions or wiring, which is another reason corn lamps are such an easy way to use LED lighting in your home or business.

What should I look out for in right Corn LED?

Cooling

A corn LED should cool itself with its aluminium structure, which has a large surface area that allows heat to escape. If you operate your corn lamps in a high-temperature environment, you must pay special attention to how hot your LED corn bulbs run and adjust them accordingly. Before you buy, make sure that you purchase corn bulbs that are specially made for the temperature conditions in which they will operate, and you should not encounter this problem.

Some corn lamps arE design with built-in fans, and although this may sound useful at first, these fans have proven to be problematic. In essence, installing a fan is a cheap way to make a corn lamp. The fan's motor will die out long before the LEDs fade and fail, and only if the fan is not stopped by insects or dust before it has reached its full life. The picture on the left shows a corn lamp from the manufacturer 3BL. The sophisticated 6063 aluminium structure dissipates heat better than a fan and helps your LED corn bulb run efficiently for a long time. This is a high-quality corn lamp!
